LED Headlamps - Functional, Hands Free Lighting
In the USA we call these functional led lights "led headlamps". In Europe, they are frequently referred to as a "led head torch". Don't confuse this term with "led headlights" as in automotive headlights. We do not carry those and do not plan to.
Why? Automotive headlights or any lighting in cars, motorcycles etc. do not use the battery under normal conditions. They run on the alternator unless they are left on without the engine running. Although leds typically consume less battery power than other sources such as halogen, the battery will drain no matter what you use. Here in the USA, there are DOT regulations which must also be strictly adhered to. We encourage you to stay away from after-market led products for critical safety illumination unless you know they comply with all regulations. Don't be fooled.
Back to the LED headlamp as in functional hands free lighting ... when you need both hands to work on a task, be it under the hood or in a mine shaft, this is the tool for you. With a comfortable strap that can fit either on your head or around a hard hat, you no longer have to hold an aluminum flashlight between your teeth. Not only does that feel awful, but you are at risk of dropping your light at the most inopportune time ...
We stick with the tried and true brands such as Streamlight. Major USA LED tool manufacturers offer a superior warranty and their products are priced according to the need. Simpler LED headlamps are available for simpler functions such as running or bicycling or camping after dark. More sophisticated models are approved for hazardous location use as in mines or other sensitive enviornments. And even more specialized products have been developed for specific military and fire fighting purposes. Some include a blue led tail light so team members can see you, and can cut through smoke and other hazardous conditions. There are red LED headlamps specifically designed to preserve night vision.
Which kind of headlamp is right for you? Ask one of our applications specialists for help if you're not sure.

Solar Powered LED Lights: Need of the Time
When the whole world was crying for some alternative source of energy, solar power emerged as one of the most viable options to tackle the energy crisis. The combination of solar energy along with LED can solve the problem to some extent. Today we need electronic products that can support solar energy and help in proper utilization of solar energy. The combination of solar power and LED can help us in realizing the dream of a green energy planet. That’s exactly that we have done. We have used the sun as a source of power for the LED. Imagine how much power it will save! First of all there shall be no dependence on any external power source; that means the LED will be completely powered by the solar energy. Solar panels store power from the sun the entire day and then use it when the power is needed to light up your night.
Today LED technology has penetrated several areas of our life. LED stands for light emitting diode. These are miniature sized electrical components capable of producing light. The light produced from them provides better vision simultaneously with less power consumption as compared to conventional sources. Low power consumption is critical when using solar power. When you use LED’s as your light source, they will burn brighter and longer than a traditional incandescent light source.
There are many uses of solar powered LED’s. To name a few, we can use Led’s to illumine areas where conventional electricity is difficult to reach. A flag pole or outdoor sign is an example of such a use. Secondly one can use LEDs in floodlights, spotlights and security lights outside of a residence or a building. Solar powered LED’s are also popular for landscaping. Think of solar powered LEDs anywhere you can place solar panels where they can receive sunlight for the entire day.
There are not many differences in the solar powered LED products and normal LED products except that the former gets its power from the sun and the latter gets its power from a power supply. A solar powered LED product can be used anywhere a normal LED product can be used. We have LED products which have been specifically designed with on board voltage regulation, making them ideal for use with a solar system. http://www.theledlight.store/RV-LED-lights.html These LED lights are also great for use in automobiles or RV’s when battery is the source of power.
We all are aware of the benefits of using LEDs as a source of light. First of all the power consumed in LED products is much less compared to conventional lightening systems. Secondly the life of LED products is longer; they are less fragile and less prone to damaged. In addition to every benefit you have with a LED, solar powered LEDs have more to offer. You will reduce your electricity bills as the power will come from the sun itself. There will be a cleaner atmosphere all around you. Power sources like conventional light bulbs and CFL produce heat in the process of illumination. This tends to heat the whole area and pollute it. But with solar power LEDs such phenomenon is negligible. One of the most important benefits of non-conventional energy is that it is unending.
Use green and clean energy to protect the planet earth for our future generation.

Save Power with LED Lighting
Power or energy is essential for every human being’s survival, at night and in dark areas where there is no sunlight. Imagine a world without light. It would be very difficult to survive. Homes, offices, streets, commercial buildings would not be able to operate without light. Around the world, many countries are facing serious concerns as utility cost continues to increase. One of the best ways to reduce your power bill is now possible with LED lighting.
LED’s are more energy efficient and last longer than incandescent bulbs, fluorescent and CFL bulbs. LED’s are a “go green” lighting concept as there is no gas emission, no poisonous mercury, and do not contribute to pollution. LED’s produce very little heat which is a huge plus in controlling energy cost.
Save power by migrating to LED lighting. Energy savings with LED’s is witnessed worldwide. The power consumption of LED’s is a fraction of the power consumption of incandescent bulbs. Hence, across the globe, manufacturing companies have concentrated on LED lighting manufacturing as this is the prime product in the market for energy consumption. LED lighting is the lighting of the future.
Quality of LED lights is superior to other traditional bulbs. LED’s generate less heat and energy consumption is very low, which results in cost savings on utility bills. One of the advantages of using LED’s is longer life span and no need of constant replacements as it is with incandescent bulbs.
Areas of Application:
Many countries have already implemented LED lighting systems to save their economy and power utilization. Below are few areas where LED’s can play a vital and efficient role as energy savers in supporting environment.
Airports
Railway Stations
Hospitals
Bus Stations
Manufacturing Companies/Industries
Shopping Complex/Malls
Home Purpose
Regimental Areas
Streets
Mining
Solar Powered LED Lights
Solar Powered LED Lights are save even more energy. Solar panels absorb energy from the sun during daylight hours. That energy is stored in a battery. The battery then powers the light sources in the evening or on cloudy days. Consumption of electricity for your lighting can be virtually eliminated.
RGB LED Lighting
RGB means red, green, blue. Blue and green combine to produce turquoise; green and red combine to produce yellow; red and blue combine to make violet; red, green and blue combine to make white. There are literally more than 16,000,000 possibilities with the more sophisticated controllers. Some RGB products, like our simple and easy to use color changing LED light bulb, do not require a controller. When deciding on a color scheme for your home, business or office, you no longer have to decide on one static color for your lighting effects. You can elect to change the color of your lighting to complement the mood, the season, or a change in décor.

How to Choose the Right LED Strip Lights
Led Strip Lights
LEDs (Lighting Emitting Diodes) are bright illuminators and energy savers, effective at cutting costs and supporting the environment, popular also for not emitting gas. LED strip lighting options have increased, as many countries are migrating toward LED lighting and the implementation of LED-salient features. LED strip lighting is an innovative and versatile lighting option, usable in almost any application. Selecting an LED strip lighting product depends on the user’s requirements and their area of application. There are a number of factors one should consider before selecting an LED light strip from the market.
Size - Number of LEDs
When selecting a LED light strip for your project, you will consider both the space to be illuminated and the brightness needed for a given application. Brightness depends on the type and quality of the LEDs used as well as the number of LEDs on the strip. LEDs are manufactured for the purpose of facilitating low, mid and high brightness levels. Low brightness LEDs can be utilized for decorative purposes, while mid brightness LEDs are more utilitarian, good for lighting kitchens or bathrooms, and high brightness LEDs, producing a great amount of light, are especially suitable in commercial applications.
Flexibility
The most admirable feature of some LED strip lighting products are their flexibility. This feature is not available with other incandescent or fluorescent lighting options. Flexible LED strip lights are very easy to install and can be molded in any required shape. They come with self-adhesive tape on the back and can be easily fixed to smooth, clean surfaces. You can even cut the strip into required lengths yourself, no need to hire a professional.
Color Options
LED strip lights can be purchased in a number of constant color options as well as in RGB color changing. Primarily LED strip lights are available in three color temperatures – Warm white, cool white and natural white, these colors are most comparable to standard household lighting colors. LED strip lighting can also be purchased in other constant colors such as blue, red, green or amber. When using a strip of RGB however, an additional spectrum of colors can be created such as Violet, purple, pink, and so forth. Using a color controller, you can produce different colors in accordance with the application, as colors play a role in changing the mood and atmosphere of an area. Adding a dimmer to your application makes controlling the atmosphere of your environment easy.
Voltage
LED strip lights run on very low voltage, usually 12 or 24 volts DC. It is important to select the correct transformer capable of properly supporting the correct output voltage and assuring optimum life of your LED strip lights. The wrong transformer can damage the LEDs, burdening you with the cost of replacement.
