LED Light Bulbs
LED Light bulbs (Light Emitting Diodes)
LED light bulbs are low emission lighting products which keep them from contributing toward harmful green house gas emissions in the atmosphere as most light bulbs on the market today fail to do with high consumption of electricity. In current times, we are all somewhat concerned about environmental issues. LED light bulbs are a beneficial, safe, cost effective and environmentally-friendly lighting solution that will light in micro seconds with no warm-up delay.
Advantages:
More light efficiency
Low energy consumption level
Savings on your light bill
Can replace traditional lighting
Long run time
Thermal Shock & Vibrations resistance
LEDs are Un-breakable
No Loss of energy
Works in Cold Weather
Works with sensor activated lights
No Mercury
No Shock or heat observance in touching post switch off
No infrared lighting & UV radiation
Generates less wasted light
Easy to fit in circuit boards as appear in smaller sizes
Cost Savings
LED light bulbs are perfect for environmentally-friendly home lighting because of their cost savings in the long run. LEDs do not burn as fluorescent lamps or any other HID lamps which use a frequent on-off cycling process. LED light bulbs also produce more light when compared to incandescent bulbs.
Long Life
LEDs have long lifetimes of 35,000 to 50,000 hours whereas incandescent bulbs have a lifetime of 750 to 2,000 hours. Compact fluorescents run for about 8,000 to 10,000 hours and linear fluorescent bulbs run for 20,000 to 30,000 hours, as per market feedback. With 50,000 hours of runtime, LEDs almost never need to be replaced unlike most other common bulbs on the market today.
There are a number of aspects to keep in mind when selecting an LED light bulb because of the various models available.
Wattage requirement
Color of light
Type of LED bulbs – Pin/Screw
Dimmable bulbs
LED Light Bulb Models
Diffused Bulbs
Dimmable LED Bulbs
Track Lighting (Pin Base MR-16 and GU-10 bulbs)
Flood Reflector LEDs
Flame Tip
LED Tube Lights
LED Light Bulb Colors
Red for Night Vision
Green for retaining night vision
Blue is a good reading light
Red, Blue and Green LEDs are frequently used for map reading
White is soft lighting without harsh reflections
Amber for outdoor usage in repelling flying insects
LED light bulbs are great in almost any application including instrument panels, electronics, down lighting, accent lighting and sconces because of their environmental conscientiousness. LEDs can also be found in pen lights, flash lights, headlamps, desk lamps and more.
