30 LED per Meter, 60 LED per meter and 120 LED per Meter Flexible LED strips compared - Which flexible LED strip is right for your project?
Flexible LED strips with 60 LEDs per meter share all of the same attributes as our 30 LED per meter 5050 flexible LED strip only it touts twice the number of LEDs. Both types of flexible LED strips run on 12VDC and have the same dimensions (10mm wide and 2mm tall). Both types are available in 5 meter reels or 3 foot sections and are divisible every 3rd LED. Flexible LED strip is an extremely versatile lighting product, easy to work with, dimmable and comes with adhesive on the back for easy installation. Flexible LED strip can fit almost anywhere and twists to the contours of your lighting project whatever it might be.
120 LED per meter flexible LED striip is produced with a 3528 LED. The smaller dimensions of the LED itself allows for more LEDs per meter. The circuit board is white which some designers prefer so that copper circuit board does not show through. It is slightly narrower than 5050 strip with a width of 8mm as opposed to 10mm.
The important differences are light output and power consumption. For reference, a 60 watt incandescent lamp produces about 800 lumens.
