How To: connect two to five CDLF-1206.
- Remove back cover plates by pulling them off. Set glass lens aside.
- Fixture #1. Unscrew both end caps. Unscrew the wire leads from the green terminal connector. Thread wire leads through the right side end cap and re-connect leads to the green terminal block. Plug in 21" Power Cable into the "IN" terminal and screw back the end cap.
- Remove the 5.5" 3 wire IR Cable at the other end of Fixture #1. Plug in one of the 8.5" Module to Module Cable in the "OUT" terminal. See image #2 below which shows the IR Cable removed and the Module to Module Cable installed.
- Take fixture #2. Unscrew both end caps. Plug in the 8.5" Module to Module Cable from Fixture #1 into the "IN" terminal on Fixture #2. Remove the IR Cable from Fixture #2 and plug in the 8.5" Module to Module Cable in the "OUT" terminal.
- The last fixture (can connect 5 CDLF to one transformer), or Fixture #3. Unscrew and remove the left end cap. Plug in the Module to Module Cable from Fixture #2 into the "IN" terminal on Fixture #3. Leave the right end cap intact. It already has the IR Cable connected to it and does not need any changes. However, if you intend to use a wall switch or wall switched outlet to turn the fixture on/off, disconnect one end of the 5.5" IR Cable. Leave it in the fixture.
- Line up all fixtures on their front side. Measure and make sure all back plates will cover each fixture from end to end. The first and last fixture back plates should cover up to the end cap. Remove the back plates.
- Place back plates on ceiling or surface to be installed on. Mark the screw holes in the back plates, remove and drill your screw holes. Screw the backplates into position. Press the fixture onto the back plates and be sure they are secured properly. Drill the screw holes for each corner and secure with #8 screws.
- For single fixture installation, you do not need to screw on the back plate. Simply mark the screw hole position at each corner of the fixture, drill and screw down the fixture. Make sure the back plate covers the short "IR Receiver " end cap section so that it is a solid and rigid fixture.
- Connect cable from transformer to the barrel pin connector on fixture #1. Plug in the transformer.
- Press the Power button on the Remote Control to turn the power on. Press the up arrow or the "Bright" button for maximum brightness. Press the down arrow to start dimming the light . You can also go to instant dim by pressing the "Dark" button.
