xenon safety strobesUSCG approved personal safety strobes fit so many needs. With a three mile visibility range, they are great for boaters, fire fighters, kayak operators, and law enforcement. This time of year when you're headed to the mountain trails, these can be an invaluable safety item. Stranded in a snow storm? You'll be seen. With optional accessories, this multi-function strobe light can do a number of things:

  • Magnet accessories allow attaching to any metal surface such as a roof of a disabled vehicle.
  • An adaptor allows the strobe to be fitted onto 1/4" female thread. Raise it high so it can be easily seen. Use it to attract attention to your table at the farm market or craft fair.
  • A traffic cone adapter makes it easy to insert the strobe into the hole in the top of most traffic cones, making these strobes very useful traffic safety lights.
  • And last but not least, a windproof adaptor turns your strobes into helicopter landing zone lights or roadside emergency lights in the severest weather.
  • An assortment of different lens colors are available: Red, blue, green, amber and clear. Boaters and kayak operaters can use them as bow and stern lights.

There is a LED module available for these Xenon strobes, but here's why we don't carry it. The Xenon canister is designed to run for 8-12 hours at a 50-60 flashes per minute speed, and then drop down to 20-30 flashes for another 8 hours. That's about 20 hours of useful life. A LED module could well give you 1,000 times that, but what's the use? The gas canisters are not sold separately as they comprise most of the cost of the entire unit. Although you could use the LED module over and over again, you'd still have to buy a new strobe once the Xenon gas has expended itself.

We've carried this same strobe since about 2000. Despite it's non-led lighting properties, it performs well, customers love it, and it's even made right here in the USA. Quantity discounts available for clubs, organizations and government. Contact us today for your quote.
